“Who are we but the stories we tell ourselves,
about ourselves, and believe?”
Scott Turow
About me
We live in times of profound change and uncertainty. The way we live, work, and connect with others has shifted in unimaginable ways, and for many, these changes have brought challenges that can affect daily life and relationships.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by what’s happening right now, carrying the weight of long-standing difficulties, or ready to move forward in a new direction with clarity and purpose, I’m here to help.

As a psychotherapist with over a decade of experience, I’ve had the privilege of working in the NHS and in the humanitarian sector overseas. I find it deeply rewarding to witness people break free from unhelpful beliefs and patterns, rediscover their strengths, and step into lives filled with joy and meaning.
My approach is rooted in creating a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can safely explore your challenges. Together, we’ll work to understand what’s holding you back and find ways to overcome those barriers.
I specialise in creative, effective, and evidence-based therapies, including EMDR and CBT, and offer sessions online to provide flexibility and accessibility.

If you’d like to explore working together, I invite you to arrange a free consultation to see if we’re the right fit.

My approach
The story so far..
The story edit
The story going forward..
We start by working out how you got to be the way you are and how you learnt to cope. We look at your life holistically, examining possible biological, psychological, social and spiritual aspects that contributed to your difficulties and identify key themes.

This includes understanding how you've coped so far and identifying what you need to hold on to and what you can let go.

We also work to help you learn skills to cope with daily challenges and giving you breathing space to work on the next part.

Here we look at helping you change the story that you are telling yourself, by letting go of patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving.

We aim to connect with and release what is holding you back at cognitive, emotional and bodily levels.

We look to heal those elements and help you reconnect with your authentic self.
This is where we begin to plan for the future. You've done the hard work and let go of what no longer serves you.
Now we plan how you can move forward to live the best life you can imagine and create for yourself.
Who do you want to be? What is important to you? What story do you want to tell about yourself, and believe?
My training
As an accredited EMDR Therapist and Consultant/Supervisor, I have dedicated my career to understanding and supporting the healing of trauma, especially how it becomes stored in the body and brain. My training combines well-established methods with emerging therapies that address the deep roots of distress, helping clients move toward lasting recovery.

-
-
I am trained to help with PTSD, complex trauma, and recurring challenges like anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, disordered eating/sleep, and self-harm.
-
I’ve undertaken advanced training in attachment-informed EMDR, which is particularly effective for addressing trauma rooted in early childhood or passed down through generations.
-
I also offer EMDR for silent memories, a gentle approach that allows clients to process sensitive experiences without having to share every detail using things like the Blind protocol or the Flash Technique.
-
My additional training in Polyvagal EMDR focuses on working with the nervous system to release trauma that is deeply held in the body, creating space for healing and regulation.

This emerging therapy has been a profound addition to my practice. It works by addressing the body’s instinctual shock response to trauma, which can become "stuck," preventing emotional or verbal expression. By working with the brain at its deepest levels, this approach promotes natural healing and recovery.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
-
With an MSc in CBT, I draw on evidence-based techniques to help with anxiety, depression, OCD, panic, social anxiety, self-harm, and disordered eating.
-
I incorporate techniques from Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy to tailor treatment to each client’s needs.

Dissociation and Parts Work
-
I have a special interest in dissociation and have received additional training to support clients experiencing these challenges. My work often includes helping clients safely connect with and integrate different parts of themselves.

My approach is rooted in the belief that healing happens when we address not only the mind but also the body and nervous system. I am here to guide and support you on this journey with care, compassion, and evidence-based tools that work.

My experience

I have worked within various NHS and other services such as eating disorders, Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), community outpatient, forensic services, a specialist Veterans Complex Treatment Service and a service for victims of torture.

In the humanitarian sector, I have worked in the Middle East and South East Asia, treating, supervising and training individuals to support those affected by conflict and its mental health consequences.

I am currently engaged in research exploring the role of psychological, practical and social factors in trauma and adversity and how these factors support and/or inhibit a person's disengagement from unhelpful behaviours and reintegration into supportive communities and societies. I am curious about how we can use what we learn to reduce conflict and build peace.

Prior to training as a psychotherapist, I worked with children and adolescents with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
